SHE takes value in today.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

-Isaiah 43:18-19

I'm a chronic overthinker. Sometimes I spend time overthinking about how much I'm overthinking, overthinking...still with me? In God's Word I've noticed that He always calls His children to operate in the present. today.

"Give us today our daily bread." - Matthew 6:11

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." - Matthew 6:34

The list goes on, but the point is: God only gives you TODAY, and calls you to operate within it. You can't change yesterday and you can't control the future.

Imagine if you operated within those timeframes. Just today, having faith that God has your tomorrow figured out. That means the big test that you're worried about passing or the job interview that will determine if you're going to be able to pay rent this month are willfully off of your radar. No longer your problem!

When you free yourself of the clutter of your past and the failed attempts to control your future, you can more clearly see the beautiful things God has been developing all along. Like the healthy friendships that have budded in your life or newfound passions for cooking or underwater bike racing. (Check it out! It's actually a thing).

God is always working in your life, regardless of what you see.

The magnificent part is that when He showcases what he had in the works all along, He's more than able to make things come alive that you believed were dead.

"...I am making ways in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

- Isaiah 43:19

What are the things that God is calling you to handle for TODAY only? What will that require you to release control of?

What are the new things that God has created out of pain or sadness?
