Can SHE find balance?
It's impossible to be 100% in every area of your life.
Work. Social. Family.
At a certain point, attempting perfection in everything we do sets unrealistic standards that can be demoralizing when they inevitably are not completed.
In today's society, whether you are a woman or man, society and even our personal communities can skew our view to "take the new job promotion"....even if you just started to have time for yourself, or "attend every social gathering"....even if you know that you really just need a Netflix and chill session with yourself or partner.
As an unmarried, young woman, I have a lot of time that I have at my disposal to divide amongst work duties, social life, family obligation, and spiritual growth. However, I've realized that even within that freedom, a lack of discernment in that division of time can lead me to feel like my time was not well spent in doing anything.
Being an outgoing introvert turned newly diagnosed ambivert (actual term for a both an introvert + extrovert), I have recently taken inventory on how I spend my time. While I would love for every area of my life to receive everything that I have in every moment, even the scripture tells us their a time for everything...
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing."
Now this isn't a fake doctor's note so that you can be released from your responsibilities in all areas of your life...you still have to go to work. sorry. But what you can release is the unrealistic pressure of perfection to perform with 100% accuracy in everything we do, at all times. Finding a healthy balance across all areas allows us to pursue our purpose with energy and a clearer vision.
What are some ways that you can find better balance in your life?
